Sri Matsyagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District: Sri Matsyagiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in Telangana's Vemulakonda village, Valigonda Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The ruling deity is Narasimha Swamy, and his consort is Sri Maha Lakshmi. The Lord is Swayambhu (Self-Manifested) as a fish in a rock, consequently known as Matsgiri Narasimha Swamy.

People say that Sri Vishnu took the appearance of a fish and is currently residing in the matsyagiri pond on top of a hill. The fish in the pond will have a mustache and a namam. The water in the pond is said to come from the bottom of this rock pool. Throughout the year, the water in the pond will be different hues, such as white, green, or yellow.

People pray while watching the "divine fish" rise to the surface after being fed biscuits and puffed rice in the temple pond.

In Tretayugam, there lived a sage named Vemulakonda Gutta, son of the renowned sage Rishyasrunga and Santa Devi, who performed penance in a cave with Anjaneya's blessings on this hill Mastyagiri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy. Narasimha Swamy, the incarnation of Sri Vishnu, appeared before him in five forms as Mastya giri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy and Lakshminarasimha, pleased with his sincere devotion. They were then venerated as Vemulakonda gutta after manifesting in finely carved shapes. To observe these three shapes, you must, like Narasimha Swamy, enter a narrowing opening into a dark cave. Surprisingly, the cave is built beneath a big boulder, which creates a sloping roof at a height of only 5 feet in the centre for the inside route. When passing through this tight tunnel, you must lower your head somewhat. As a result of the cave's natural formation, one is forced to bend before the Lord.
