One of the most well-known hill forts in Telangana is Pangal Fort. During the 11th and 12th centuries, Kalyani Chalukya Kings built it. The fort is spread out over many acres and has seven entrances. The main entry, Mundlagavini, is one of the best things about this fort. Big granite rocks were used to build it.

Kingdoms like the Bahamani, Vijayanagara, Padmanayaka, and Qutub Shahis fought many bloody battles at this fort. During the revolt against the Nizam, there was also a bandit war at the fort.
Wanaparthy is 15 km away and can be used to get to Pangal. Trekking begins in the town of Pangal. It is an easy trek that takes about 2 hours to reach the peak, look around, and return to the village.
