Bhuvanagiri Fort in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District of Telangana State: There are many stories about Bhuvanagiri Durgam and Bhuvanagiri in mythology. Rajayagiri, a king from the Chalukya family, was looking for a fort on the Mallanna Gutta. King Rajagiri built a khilla at the fort because he liked how beautiful the mountain was. When King Inamuliku gave Bonaiyah, who had shown him such a beautiful place, he politely turned them down and asked that his name and wife, Giramma, be built together. The city the king built and named after them is said to be called Bhuvanagiri today. But this story doesn't have any basis in history.
Historians say that Bhuvanagiri Durgam was built more than 3,000 years ago and that the area around Bhuvanagiri was ruled by each person in charge of Telangana. Archaeologists, however, say that people lived before the Bhuvanagiri Fort. Here, burrows, arrows, stone tools, swords, and tombs from the Middle Ages were found. There were signs that people lived there in the Middle Ages and in the Neolithic period.
Qutub Shahi was in charge of Bhuvanagiri Fort for a long time. In 1687, when the Mughals attacked Golconda, they took over. Sarvai Pandu, born in Telangana to a common Kalu Geetha family, won the Orugal in 1708 and took over Bhuvanagiri. Before he took over Golconda, he hid all of his wealth in the Kalika Mata temple in the middle of the hill. The hill has a lot of caves and tunnels that have yet to be found. Historians say this is where coins from the time of Vishnu Kundi were found.
The Bhuvanagiri Fort is an old structure made on a piece of rock about 47 km from Hyderabad. The hill is 610 meters high and is the tallest mountain in Telangana. From the south, the mountain looks like a turtle, and from the west, it looks like a sleeping elephant. The Balaghat line, this is one of the Anantagiri lines. There are horseshoes, granaries, and soldier houses in the inner courtyards of the fort. Under the Rajaprasadas, in the fossil, many secret passages are fun to think about. People say that they have yet to figure out where these caves lead. Around the palace, many stone statues, palaces, flower decorations, and sculptures in the Kakatiya style show the Chalukyas.
