Goddess Saraswati Devi is honoured at the Wargal Temple. The garbhagriha is on a level that is almost the same as the third floor. The Goddess is seen wearing a saree and lots of jewels and flowers in all her glory. In front of the temple is a beautiful Goddess statue standing about 10 feet tall.

There are temples for Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi, Lord Shanishwara, and Lord Shiva. Here, there are two Vaishnava Temples that are almost in ruins. People say these two Vaishnava Temples were built when the Kakatiyas were in charge. There is also a significant victory pillar close by. It stands about 30 feet tall and is topped by images of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshmana, and Goddess Lakshmi. Many people learn Vedas at the Veda Paathashaala, part of the temple.

Before their children begin their first year of school, many families take them to this temple for their Aksharaabyasam. All followers get free meals on the temple grounds, called Nitya Annadanam.

In this temple, the festivals of Vasantha Panchami, Navratri Mahaotsavams, and Shani Tryodasi are performed in a big way. The best day to worship Saraswati Devi is on Moola Nakshatram, also called the "Birth star of Goddess Saraswati." On this day, the temple holds essential ceremonies.

On Vasantha Panchami, which is in January or February, thousands of families bring their children to the Aksharabhyasa, which is attended by about 25,000 to 30,000 people. During Vasantha Panchami, Darshan usually takes 2 to 3 hours, and Aksharabhyasa could take at least an extra hour.
