Buddhist Stupa Dhulikatta in Peddapalli District of Telangana State: Karimnagar is 30 km from the Buddhist monastic complex at Vadkapur and Dhulikatta villages, which are on the right and left sides of Hussaini Vagu. During the digging, a Buddhist stupa, walls for defence, and other things were found. One of the Brahmi writings on a rock in this Stupa can be traced back to the 2nd century B.C. The Stupa belonged to the Hinayana Buddhist sect, in which anthropomorphic depictions of the Buddha were forbidden. Here, Buddha is represented by symbols like his Chatra, Padukas, throne with Swastika, Pillar of Fire, etc.

The Stupa is made up of a base pradakshana patha, a circular drum with four ayaka platforms on the east, west, north, and south sides, and a dome. From the main drum, these ayaka platforms stick out. During the early Satavahna period, carved limestone pieces were used to decorate this Stupa. This decoration is the same as the one on the Barhut Stupa, which dates to the early Sunga period. Among the limestone slabs is Naga Muchilinda (a snake defending the Buddha).
