Essential Points of YSR Kapari Bandhu
1) Development of the shepherd communities – Not much has been done to develop the shepherds. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister wants to mend this with the development of this scheme.
2) Ensuring financial and social security – The implementation of this welfare project will not only provide financial security but will pave the path for social security as well.
3) Financial aid – Though the state government has not decided the amount, the Chief Minister stated that the beneficiaries will attain specific financial assistance from the Andhra Pradesh authority.
4) Purchasing sheep – The beneficiary must utilize the financial assistance offered by the Andhra Pradesh government to purchase 20 sheep.
5) Subsidy on loan – Another scheme feature is a beneficiary credit subsidy. The subsidy will amount to 30% of the loan or Rs. 1.5 lakhs, whichever is less. It will release the financial burden from the shoulders of the shepherds who acquired loans for occupational purposes.
6) Time period for the scheme – After the operation of this project starts, the state government will continue it for four successive years. It will ensure the holistic development of the eligible and needy shepherds.
7) Total number of beneficiaries – The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has mentioned that implementing this scheme will assist around 50 000 people.
8) Budget allocated for the scheme – It has been mentioned that for the successful implementation of this project, a whopping sum of Rs. 200 crores has already been arranged. If necessary, the state government will provide more funding for scheme implementation.
9) Payment mode – The state government has highlighted that all financial transfers will be made via the Direct Benefit Transfer mode. It will keep corruption and confusion at bay.
YSR Kapari Bandhu Application Form
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has meticulously pointed out that this scheme is for the shepherd communities. The vital features and the benefits of the project have been announced. However, neither the Chief Minister nor the government officials have mentioned anything about the upcoming implementation mode. They have also withheld information about the registration process of this scheme.
Sources further said that the shepherds of state and the society president requested the CM of Andra Pradesh to look after the living standards of the shepherd’s community. It is also seen that the NCDC financiers can buy sheep on loan. In addition to this, shepherds cannot get loans owing to the strict rules of the scheme.
It is expected that the state government will opt for an offline application for the convenience of shepherds. In case of an online registration, the Andhra Pradesh authority will have to launch a portal. If you want to know about the registration process, stay tuned, as we will update the information on our portal.
