Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar District of Telangana State - How to Reach & Timings: The Lower Manair Dam is in the village of Alugunur, which is near the town of Karimnagar. It is 4.5 km from Karimnagar Bus Stand, 65 km from Siddipet Bus Station, and 163 km from Hyderabad.

The Lower Manair Dam (LMD) was built in the middle of the Manair River, which flows into the Godavari River. The dam was built from 1974 to 1985. The total amount of water that can be stored in the reservoir is 24 TMC. The project makes a balancing reservoir for the Kakatiya Canal and controls the flow below Lower Manair Dam for an area of 5,65,452 acres. It also gives the towns of Karimnagar and Warangal water to drink.

Karimnagar's Lower Manair Dam is an important place for tourists to see. There are 20 floodgates on the dam. During the monsoon season, tourists are blown away by the water gushing out of the floodgates. People from all over the area come to see this amazing sight. The calm waters of the Lower Manair Dam and the area around it make for a lovely scene.

The reservoir has places where you can rent boats. From the top of the Dam, you can see a great view of the town of Karimnagar. It's a popular place for locals to picnic on the weekends. The nearby Ujwala Park and Deer Park are also great places to visit near the dam.

By Air:

Up to Hyderabad by air to the Shamshabad Air Port, and then to Karimnagar. 

By Train:

From Warangal, all major trains go to Karimnagar and Pedapalli. 

 By Road:

By road, it's 10 km from Karimnagar to Dam, and it's 180 km from Hyderabad to Dam.
