How to Link Aadhaar with EPF Account: The Aadhaar number of an EPF member must be linked to their Universal Account Number (UAN). Employees can now easily link their Aadhaar card to their Universal Account Number online or in person. You can't take money from your EPF account until your UAN is checked and linked to your Aadhaar number. All Indian employees can now manage their PF accounts online, which was made possible by the EPFO. By going to the website for the EPFO, they can link their UAN to their Aadhaar card. Here is how to link your aadhaar with your UAN Number.
Benefits of Linking Aadhaar with UAN
1) When your Aadhaar is linked to your UAN, data errors, and differences are less likely to happen because your information stays the same on your Aadhaar card.
2) By linking Aadhaar to a UAN number, the chance of having two accounts is reduced.
3) You will be able to withdraw your PF online without needing your employer's signature. The whole process can be done online without much trouble.
Steps to link your UAN with Aadhaar
1) To get to the Member Sewa portal, go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/.
2) Select the "KYC" option under the "Manage" tab.
3) To add a Know Your Customer (KYC) document, choose "Aadhaar."
4) Your name on the screen will be the same as on your Aadhaar card. The Aadhaar number will need to be put in. You must give permission for Aadhaar-based authentication to link your UAN to your Aadhaar.
5) Choose "Save" from the drop-down menu. Once it is saved, it will show up under "Know Your Customer." Your employer must give permission for your UAN to be linked to your Aadhaar.
The linking process must first be accepted by your employer and then by the EPFO to be completed.
Steps to check if the UAN is linked to Aadhaar
1) Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ to use the member sewa portal.
2) Enter your UAN and password to log in.
3) Once you've logged in successfully, go to the "Manage" tab and choose the "KYC" option.
Your Aadhaar number is linked to your UAN if shown and accepted on the screen under the verified documents page.
If your Aadhaar number doesn't appear under the "Verified Documents" tab, you must link your UAN to your Aadhaar.
