How to Apply for a Kisan Credit Card
Farmers aren't the only ones who can get agricultural loans through the Kisan Credit Card. People who raise animals or fish can also apply. Also, the applicant does not have to have land that can be used for farming. A loan of up to Rs 2 lakh at 4% interest can be used for animal husbandry or fishing. Eligible for Kisan Credit Card
The following entities are eligible for the KCC, according to the RBI's master circular on the Kisan Credit Card scheme:
i. Farmers are single or joint borrowers who own their own farms.
ii. Tenant farmers, oral lessees & share croppers;
iii. Self-help groups (SHGs) or Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) are made up of farmers, such as renters, sharecroppers, and others.
How to Apply for a Kisan Credit Card?
Eligible farmers can apply for a Kisan Credit Card Offline. Both of these steps are provided below,
1) Visit any bank of your choice.
2) The application form should be collected and filled out completely.
3) To process the application, submit the form and other necessary documents (described below).
- Duly filled-in and signed-in application form
- Address proof document (Aadhaar card, ID, driving license, PAN card, voter ID)
- Identity proof (Aadhaar card, driving licence, PAN card, Voter ID, etc.)
- Land documents
- A passport-size photograph
- Other documents, as requested by the issuing bank
How to Check the Status of Kisan Credit Card
If a farmer needs to know the current status of their Kisan Credit Card, they can do so by visiting the CSC PM Kisan Credit Card portal and following the steps provided below.
1) Go to the official website of eSeva KCC: https://eseva.csccloud.in/kcc/trackstatus.html
2) The page will redirect to another page where you must submit the reference number assigned to your Kisan Credit Card application.
3) Farmers can view the KCC (Kisan Credit Card) application status.
