EWS Certificate in Telangana - How to Apply Offline & Document Required: For applicants in the general category who are considered poor, the Telangana government has implemented the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) registration process. EWS candidates would receive a 10% preference in Telangana's government employment and educational institutions.
The phrase "Economically Weaker Sections" (EWS) describes people or households whose income is below a particular cutoff point. Although there may be additional economic considerations for determining a citizen's or household's economic vulnerability, income is the critical determinant. However, persons classified as "Below Poverty Line (BPL)" may be included in the definition of EWS. Upon presentation of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority, the benefit of reservation under the EWS can be accessed. The EWS group would be given preference in direct hiring for civil positions and services inside the Government of India, even if they are not covered by the SC, ST, or OBC quota scheme.
