All junior advocates who possess the bachelor degree certificate can apply for the monthly stipend scheme. They should have studied law graduation from a government college. He or she should have enrolled in the bar council of Tamil Nadu. As proof that they are inactive practice, they have to submit an affidavit attested by a senior advocate. This has to be submitted once every six months. Age of the applicant must be below thirty years. Advocates who are residents of the state are eligible for this scheme. Young lawyers who are practising for not more than three years can avail the benefits of the young advocate welfare scheme of the Tamil Nadu government. They can get a stipend of Rs. 3,000 every month. This financial aid will be available for them for two years from the date of submission of application. Before applying for Tamil Nadu young advocates welfare scheme, one thing needs to be remembered.Those who completed three years of practice are not eligible for this scheme. They should not own a four wheeler. Non practising advocates are not eligible. If it is found that the particulars furnished are false, the council might take disciplinary action against the person.

Junior advocates who want to apply for the young advocate’s welfare scheme must1) Visit the official website of the bar council of Tamil Nadu.
2) Click on the register button and then click on "new user Registration "fill the details asked.
3) log in to the website and fill the details which are asked.
4) After completing the application process, click submit. The applicant may be asked to submit the copies of documents such as bar council registration card, qualification certificate, voter card, aadhar card and residence proof.
