Kisan Credit Card 2022 - Eligibility, Benefits and How to Apply: Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is a scheme of the Indian government. Farmers usually take loans from lenders in the organized sector for high interest rates and suffer a lot when they have to repay the loan in a fixed period. The Indian government is trying to help the farmers from these lenders by offering loans at very low interest rates.
Proof of Identity:
PAN card, Aadhaar card, Driver’s License, Passport, Voter’s ID, Overseas Citizen of India Card, Person of Indian Origin Card, Job card issued by NREGA, Letters issued by the UIDAI
Proof of Address:
Aadhaar card, Driver’s License, Passport, Utility Bill not more than 3 month’s old, Ration Card, Property Registration Document, Person of Indian Origin Card, Job card issued by NREGA, Bank account statement also is valid. The bank also asks for passport size photographs.
Eligibility For Kisan Credit Card
Any farmer or a group of farmers who are individually farming or involved in activities connected to farmers are eligible to apply for Kisan credit card (KCC). Owners or cultivators, tenant farmers or sharecroppers in agricultural land are eligible. Self help groups also can apply for. The farmers who want to apply for Kisan credit cards should be residents of the operational area of the bank from where the farmer is taking the credit card.Benefits of Kisan Credit Card
Kisan credit card helps the farmers to get loans for agriculture purposes at very low interest rates. The maximum loan amount that they can get is Rs. 3 lakhs. They can purchase items using credit cards. If the cardholder makes the repayment at regularly, the minimum interest rate is applied on the loan they have taken.
