YSR Bima Scheme - How To Apply, Documents Required, Eligibility and Benefits: YSR Bima scheme is an insurance scheme for those workers/labours working in the unorganized sector. If the breadwinner of the family dies in an accident or is disabled, the government will provide financial assistance if he/she is registered for this scheme. Family of the beneficiary will get the amount of the insurer dies a natural death.
Eligibility for YSR Bima Scheme
Unorganized workers belonging to Andhra Pradesh are eligible for YSR Bima scheme. Age of the applicant should be between 18 and 70 years. Monthly income of the applicant should be not exceeding Rs. 15,000. The candidate should have enrolled through Praja Sadhikara Survey.
How to Apply the YSR Bima Scheme
To be eligible for YSR Beema scheme, unorganized workers should get registered through Smart pulse survey that is conducted by the Andhra Pradesh state government. At the time of enumeration, the candidate has to pay Rs. 15 premium or any other amount specified by the Commissioner of Labor. The enumeration team will take all the required certificates, application forms etc. after verification and validation of certificates, YSR bima card is given to the beneficiary.
Application for YSR Beema scheme can be submitted online at the official website also. Insurance claim application is also available on the website. Any labour or worker can register their names for this scheme in the labour department in their area. All those who have registered for the scheme will become a member of Andhra Pradesh state accident death and disability scheme.
Benefits of YSR Bima Scheme
Under this scheme, if a person dies a natural death his family will be given a compensation of Rs. 2 lakhs; for permanent disability or accident death the government will give Rs. 5 lakhs. Compensation will also be given for partial disability. If a person in the age group of 51-70 suffers permanent disability of dies accidentally, beneficiary’s family will get Rs. 3 lakhs. If the death is a natural death the family of the beneficiary will get Rs. 30,000. In addition, children of the beneficiary will be provided with scholarship of Rs. 1200. This is applicable for students of 9th , 10th , intermediate or ITI students.
