That is the policyholder should not test positive for the infection within 15 days of buying the policy.

Children in the age group of 1 to 25 years and adults in the age group of 18 and 65 years are eligible to take the Reliance Covid-19 Kavach policy. The policy period is 3 ½ months, 6 ½ months and 9 ½ months. The waiting period is 15 days. Sum insured is 50 thousand, 1 lakh, 2 lakhs, 2.5 lakhs, 3 lakhs, 3.5 lakhs, 4 lakhs, 4.5 lakhs and 5 lakhs.

Reliance Covid-19 Kavach is an individual and floater type policy. This policy covers the treatment and hospitalization expenses due to the presence of coronavirus. These expenses include the room, boarding, surgeon, consultant, specialist fees, blood, oxygen, operation theatre charges, ventilator charges, medicines and drugs, PPE kit, gloves, mask, ICU charges etc.

The insurance also covers the in-patient treatment taken under Ayush, Homeopathy and others. There are also pre and post hospitalization expenses, 15 days prior to hospitalization and 30 days post discharge from hospital.

The company has the right to cancel the policy at any time on grounds of fraud, non-disclosure of facts etc. Notice is given 7 days before the cancellation of the policy. Premium will not be refunded if it is cancelled on grounds of misrepresentation.
